About this program

Colina International School is an innovative English-based international school in Cluj, Romania, focused on "Success in life, beyond exams." The school uses Expeditionary Learning, a methodology designed by Harvard and Outward Bound International with over 25 years of research behind it, currently implemented in 400+ schools worldwide. Authorized by ARACIP (Romanian Ministry of Education) and internationally accredited by NEASC, the school provides a holistic approach to education that develops the whole person. Led by Head of School Benjamin Davies, the philosophy centers on "Learning to Design a Thriving, Purposeful Life" - addressing physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual development. The campus is located in Băbuțiu, part of Colina Noua, an innovative residential concept featuring great design, communal spaces, green areas, organic farms, and nature trails. The school philosophy embraces "the world as our classroom" with regular fieldwork and expeditions.
