About this program

Forest Schooling UK is an SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school and part-time alternative provision located in Kingston Upon Thames, London. The program serves young people who have struggled in traditional classroom settings or had difficult experiences with education, putting relationships first to help them regulate emotions, rebuild confidence, and re-engage with learning. Rooted in Forest School principles and trauma-informed care, the school offers a bespoke, therapeutic curriculum that balances emotional growth, creativity, communication, and academic progress. Operating across three sites in Kingston Upon Thames, Forest Schooling UK creates safe, natural spaces where young people with SEMH needs can thrive holistically—emotionally, socially, physically, and academically. The program works in partnership with schools, colleges, and the wider community, guided by three core values: Ready, Respectful, and Responsible.
