About this program

Future Human School is a progressive, purpose-driven school for 9-16 year olds located in a biophilic eco-village in the heart of Pejeng, Ubud, Bali. The school is built on the belief that traditional education is preparing children for a future that won't exist, offering instead a fun, real-world, skills-based alternative where creativity, collaboration, and communication build confidence. The campus sits within Naya Veda Vastu Eco Village, surrounded by jungle, rice fields, and flowing subak waterways. Students learn in bamboo and earth structures set among 20,000 m² of gardens, fields, and forest. Facilities include a swimming pool, yoga shala, aquaponic gardens, a professional kitchen, and pods for breakout learning. The school uses the Da Vinci Life-Skills curriculum and replaces traditional teachers with mentors drawn from fields including sustainability, enterprise, hospitality, blockchain, permaculture, finance, and the arts. Assessments are formative, narrative, and student-led rather than grade-based.
