About this program
Green School is a pioneering international education network founded in 2008 by John and Cynthia Hardy in Bali, Indonesia. What began as one revolutionary school has grown into a global movement with campuses in Bali, New Zealand, and South Africa. The founding Bali campus, featuring award-winning bamboo architecture, has become a beacon for sustainable education and has attracted notable visitors including Dr. Jane Goodall and Ban Ki-moon. The school's mission is to create a global community of learners making the world sustainable. Operating from wall-less classrooms nestled in the Balinese jungle, Green School nurtures holistic, innovative, and purpose-driven inquiry. The approach gives students agency in their own learning so they can thrive with purpose in an ever-changing world. In 2021, Green School partnered with Education in Motion (EiM), a family of pioneering education brands, to expand its reach while maintaining its commitment to regenerative education and environmental stewardship.
