About this program
Kawartha Farm School is a new (2024) private elementary school located on a spectacular 101-acre family farm in Ontario's Kawartha Lakes region. The school offers an exciting alternative to the public school system with hands-on learning opportunities and outdoor instruction not possible in traditional city schools. The school is non-denominational and non-religious, with foundations rooted in traditional Canadian values. Students interact with farm animals daily, learn lifelong skills, and grow food to contribute to their families' food security. As a fully accredited independent private school, Kawartha Farm School maintains small class sizes with an 8:1 student-to-educator ratio, led by experienced and passionate highly qualified educators.
