About this program
The Kids Love Nature Kindergarten at Avon Heath is a pioneering outdoor nursery, opened in August 2012. It was the first kindergarten in the country to be situated within a Country Park and partnered directly with park rangers. This unique location provides 300 acres of stunning heathland, along with two beautiful classrooms and a one-acre private garden featuring woodland, a veggie patch, giant sandpit, fire pit, pond, mud cafe, and more. The kindergarten has received 'Outstanding' ratings in all areas from Ofsted in both 2013 and 2020. A dedicated, highly qualified team ensures a nurturing environment, focusing on emotional connection and each child’s individual interests. Families can expect daily home-cooked organic meals, and a strong emphasis on connecting children with the local environment and wildlife. Frequent 'Explorer Sessions' with Countryside Rangers help children engage with protected habitats and learn about conservation.
