About this program
Little Acorns CIC is a social enterprise dedicated to connecting children, adults, and families with nature through nurturing and holistic outdoor experiences. Founded in 2017 by Emily and Antti, the project grew from their personal passion for unhurried, nature-based childhoods and wellbeing. Set just two miles from Ayr town centre, within over 100 acres of private and wild space, Little Acorns offers immersive, memorable learning in nature for all ages. Facilities include a private Forest School site with a play gym, fire circle, vegetable garden, meadow, composting toilet, and yurt, alongside hands-on opportunities at the Little Acorns Farm with pygmy goats, chickens, ducks, and honeybees. Their activities are created to inspire children and adults to thrive, fostering resilience, empathy, and a deep love of the outdoors.
