About this program
Portland Nature School is a small, outdoor forest preschool located in NE Portland. This early childhood community is dedicated to helping children develop social, emotional, and problem-solving skills through direct immersion in nature. The school aims to foster both resiliency and a meaningful connection with the natural world for all its learners. Established in 2014 under the name Little Imprints Preschool, the school transitioned in 2021 from a play-based, indoor program to a fully outdoor, forest school model. Portland Nature School continues its commitment to providing quality childcare and unique outdoor learning experiences to the city’s youngest residents.
