About this program
The Forager School is a nature-based learning community located in Gualala, on the beautiful Sonoma and Mendocino coast of Northern California. Operating as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the school serves families from Timber Cove to Point Arena with programs ranging from preschool through elementary. The school celebrates play and nurtures young learners through curiosity, art, creative problem-solving, outdoor exploration, social-emotional learning, and fun. Its rural setting provides a rich and dynamic environment where children develop deep connections with the natural world through hands-on experiences. The Forager School embraces diversity in experiences and backgrounds as fundamental to creating an enriching learning community. Located at 39145 S Hwy 1 in downtown Gualala, the campus features spacious, light-filled classrooms with ample outdoor space.
