About this program
The Forest Club is dedicated to reconnecting children with nature through engaging, hands-on activities in a beautiful private woodland within Belmont Demesne, near Bray and Greystones. Established in 2017 by Alec Dunne, a trained and qualified Forest School Leader with over 10 years of experience, the club offers a variety of programs such as birthday parties, after-school clubs, forest school sessions, and kids’ camps. The base camp is situated in a grove of ancient oaks, equipped to support creative and adventurous learning outdoors. Children experience the outdoors while building dens, crafting with natural materials, lighting campfires, and exploring the local environment. Activities are set in an environment rich with native Irish tree species, wildlife, and scenic beauty, fostering a lifelong appreciation for the natural world.
