About this program
The Hive Adventure is an innovative learning community in Cabrera, Dominican Republic, offering transformative educational experiences for worldschooling families. Describing itself as "an unschool for changemakers," The Hive empowers children to design and implement solutions to global challenges while developing essential life skills. The program is built around the UN Sustainable Development Goals (Global Goals), giving children a framework for understanding and addressing real-world challenges. Students become active participants in creating positive change in their local community while developing skills they can apply anywhere in the world. The Hive's philosophy centers on the belief that "you are never too young, nor too old, to become a changemaker." Through hands-on projects, self-regulation training, and community engagement, children develop confidence, competence, and a deep sense of purpose.
