About this program
Wild at Heart Learning is a Forest School based in beautiful woodlands, providing a unique outdoor, nature-based learning experience. Founded in the autumn of 2020 by Gilly and Julia—two educators passionate about outdoor learning—the project aims to reconnect children (and adults) with the natural environment, offering space and time to freely explore, discover, and play. Their sessions focus on holistic development and mental health, using nature as 'the best (outdoor) classroom in the world'. Both founders hold relevant qualifications, including enhanced DBS checks, Outdoor First Aid, Food Hygiene certificates, and Forest School Leader training, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. At Wild at Heart, every child is treated as an individual, helping them gain the most from their experience.
