About this program
Alma Forest School is an internationally accredited microschool located on a Spanish finca just outside Sotogrande, in southern Spain. The school offers expansive views across to Gibraltar and Morocco, with fields to play on, trees to climb, and animals to care for. The surrounding natural parks and beaches serve as extended classrooms. With 24 nationalities represented in the student body and 80% of families having relocated specifically to join the school, Alma Forest is a truly international community. The school prioritizes discovery over traditional teaching, embracing a curriculum that transcends boundaries and disciplines. Small class sizes enable educators to support each student individually. Founded on principles of bioregionalism, consent-based learning, and radical empathy, Alma Forest functions as a tribe of learners where everyone is known and heard. The school is accredited by the Junta de Andalucía and affiliated with the European Democratic Education Community and Eco Schools.
