About this program
Empathy School International is an Academic Nature School in Ubud, Bali, founded by a Harvard alum and Stanford Seed graduate. The school is purposefully designed for both long-term families and worldschoolers, following the latest holistic, evidence-based research on child development and education. What makes Empathy School distinctive is its commitment to raising compassionate leaders and change-makers through a nature-rich environment, individualized focus, and strong foundation in social-emotional learning. The school is Bali's only plant-based international school, rooted in sustainability, compassion, and mindfulness. Children experience a barefoot-friendly campus with food forests, regenerative rice fields, and natural playgrounds integrated into their learning. Daily organic, plant-based meals are provided. The school emphasizes living its values rather than just teaching them—mindfulness and nonviolent communication are practiced across all ages.
