Grow Noto

About this program

Grow Noto is a multicultural education-in-nature community located in the stunning Vendicari Nature Reserve near Noto, Sicily. Founded by a group of parents seeking alternative education for their children, Grow promotes outdoor learning and cultural events that engage the entire local community. The school is based at Agriturismo Il Roveto, a historic property extending to the sea with outdoor classrooms shaded by centuries-old olive, almond, and carob trees. The setting provides daily, direct contact with nature in what the founders believe is the healthiest possible environment for living, playing, and growing. The pedagogical approach treats Nature as the true teacher, offering children opportunities to play with earth and leaves, walk among trees, care for animals and plants, and immerse themselves in the cycle of seasons.
