About this program
Mont-Libre is an Agile Learning Center located in Montreal, Canada, providing a self-directed education space for homeschooling families. The center creates a safe, inclusive, and anti-racist environment where young people can pursue their passions and become who they want to become, with explicit support for LGBTQ+ youth and neurodiversity. Operating four days per week for youth aged 9-18, with dedicated Thursday sessions for children aged 6-9, Mont-Libre follows the principles of agile learning centers worldwide. The center emphasizes that teenagers are the authors of their own education, free to invest completely in their interests whether art, play, reading, or any pursuit that captures their curiosity. As a bilingual center serving French and English speakers, Mont-Libre welcomes families exploring alternatives to traditional schooling. A two-week free trial is available anytime during the year, allowing families to experience the community before committing.
