About this program

NuVu is an innovative project-based high school located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, serving the greater Boston area. The school has reimagined high school education by replacing traditional classrooms with hands-on design studios where students tackle real-world challenges through collaborative problem-solving. Founded on four pillars—Technology, Art, Design, and Engineering—NuVu empowers students to become innovative problem solvers and empathetic leaders. Students focus deeply on one studio at a time, setting aside textbooks and rote learning for a distinctive hands-on experience that prepares them for college and beyond. The school is accredited by NEASC and has expanded its impact globally through NuVuX, a program that helps K-12 schools worldwide adopt creative, open-ended learning approaches. NuVu has collaborated with over 41 partner institutions, demonstrating its pioneering role in transforming education.
