About this program
REAL School Budapest is a not-for-profit British international primary and middle school designed for the curious, creative, and courageous. Founded in 2019, the school was created by educators who spent years at Green School Bali and became "completely heartwashed" by that experience—they then adapted the inspiration to an urban European setting in Hungary's capital. The school operates under the tagline "Real-life learning, for a new REALity." Real-life learning engages students in authentic, real-world activities to discover their passions, develop skills, and learn about both the world and themselves. The vision is to equip children for the world they will inherit and inspire them to create a future where all can thrive. Housed in a 100-year-old refurbished building in Budapest's 3rd district by the Danube, REAL School blends history with innovation. The city becomes the classroom, with nearby Óbudai Island serving as an outdoor learning space.
