About this program
The Cooperative Nature School is an outdoor-focused early childhood program located at the historic Moose Hill Farm in partnership with the Trustees of the Reservation. Founded in 2018 under the vision of Abigail Marsters, the school creates an immersive natural learning environment where children develop deep connections to the outdoors while becoming environmental stewards from an early age. As part of the Cooperative Learning Community (which also includes the Sharon Cooperative School), the Nature School operates as a non-profit organization governed by a single Board of Directors and Executive Director Gail Ader. The school's beautifully transformed classrooms within the farm's historic main house mirror the natural surroundings, providing a unique setting that blends indoor and outdoor learning. The mission focuses on nurturing curious, thoughtful, active learners who love the outdoors and believe in celebrating and protecting the natural world.
