About this program

Two Birds is a Reggio-inspired school for children from infants through Pre-K, with six locations across Washington DC, Virginia, and Maryland. Founded to provide holistic support for families with young children, Two Birds is built around three core pillars: comprehensive early childhood education, professional workspace for parents, and engaging extracurricular classes for children and families. The school's all-inclusive approach recognizes that supporting families means addressing the needs of everyone—children, parents, and the broader community. Children have the opportunity to explore the world around them while building knowledge through interactions with teachers, classmates, and open-ended materials. Meanwhile, parents gain access to complimentary on-site coworking spaces, cutting out commutes while staying close to their children. What distinguishes Two Birds is the integration of these elements into a single experience. Parents can nurse throughout the day even after returning to work, participate in weekend family programming, and connect with a community of fellow working parents—all while their children receive high-quality, play-based education in a nurturing environment.
