About this program
A Little Bit Wilder Forest School offers forest school, bushcraft, and family-friendly outdoor events in Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. Founded by Nick Exley, a qualified Forest School Practitioner and Bushcraft Instructor, and supported by Esther, an experienced teacher and nature enthusiast, the school aims to help children become confident explorers through hands-on experiences in nature. The founders bring backgrounds in outdoor education, public services, and wildlife projects, and invite both children and parents to relax, play, and learn surrounded by woodlands. The school operates in a 12-acre site set within Forestry England’s Stapleford woods, near Newark, Lincolnshire. Their approach encourages children to manage their own risks and develop practical skills, while families can enjoy watching children grow in confidence, independence, and respect for nature. For more details or to arrange a visit, families are welcome to contact the school directly.
