About this program
Earthkeeper Nature School (ENS) is operated by the Nature & Wildlife Discovery Center (NWDC) and offers a nature-based early childhood curriculum that blends play, fresh air, open space, and child-led learning. The program was established in 2018 and will celebrate its 8th school year in 2026–2027. ENS is a licensed childcare provider under the Colorado Department of Human Services, offering a nurturing environment led by two experienced educators who have been with the school since its founding. ENS runs programs at both the Mountain Campus in Beulah and the River Campus in Pueblo, giving students a unique opportunity to learn outdoors in Southern Colorado’s natural settings. Families can expect a program designed to foster creativity, independence, and a deep connection to the natural world. Families interested in the program, its philosophy, and operations are encouraged to reach out or attend one of ENS’s informational meetings, which are held at either campus and give parents a chance to meet staff and ask questions.
