About this program
Bluff Lake Nature Center (BLNC) is a nonprofit organization in Denver that manages the city’s largest open space preserved as native habitat and serves as Denver’s only nonprofit nature center. The site includes prairie bluffs, a 9-acre lake, and a stream corridor, offering abundant opportunities to encounter native wildlife and plants. BLNC provides sanctuary for deer, foxes, birds, waterfowl, and more within a restored urban wildlife refuge and outdoor classroom. Beyond preserving natural spaces, BLNC is committed to fostering equity in outdoor access and nurturing the health and well-being of the community and ecosystems alike.
