About this program

Escola Lá Fora is a nature-based learning project inspired by the Forest School model, offering outdoor play and education for children in Lisbon, Almada, Ericeira, and Estoril. The entire daily routine—from playing and learning to eating and even napping—takes place outside, with indoor shelter only in cases of inclement weather. The dedicated team brings expertise in child education, psychology, and motricity, and all professionals have specific Forest School Leader qualifications, ensuring both safety and educational value. The school’s vision is to foster resilient, self-confident, independent, and creative children through free-range play and contact with the natural world.
