About this program
Pacífico Internacional is a Waldorf-inspired school located in the village of Cañafistula outside of Tamarindo in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. Rooted in Rudolf Steiner's Waldorf Pedagogy, the school provides a bilingual education that builds purpose, confidence, and connection while fostering a love for learning. The school's educational philosophy centers on nurturing the whole child through three core elements: Head (developing cognitive abilities through age-appropriate academics and critical thinking), Heart (nurturing emotional intelligence, artistic expression, and social connection), and Hands (engaging in practical life skills, crafts, and hands-on learning experiences). Set on a beautiful campus nestled in the Costa Rican jungle, the school offers children from preschool through middle school a natural and nurturing environment where imagination and creativity flourish alongside academic excellence in both English and Spanish.
