About this program

Slate School is a K-12 independent 501(c)3 nonprofit school located on a picturesque 40-acre campus in North Haven, Connecticut. The school is committed to changing the landscape of education by cultivating creativity, fostering ingenuity, and inspiring a deep passion for lifelong learning. The educational approach is curiosity-driven, nature-based, interdisciplinary, project-based, arts-integrated, and academically rigorous. At Slate School, students learn how to think, not what to think. They ask great questions, are driven by their own joyful purpose, and live values of friendship, forgiveness, and gratitude. The school reimagines education to be both transformational and accessible, believing exceptional learning should be joyful and available to all families regardless of financial circumstances.
